Hats Off Day began with Burnaby Heights merchants in Burnaby in 1984 as a customer appreciation day and eventually merged with other community spirit events in 1989 to become the focal point of the year. We set up a tent right in front of our Burnaby branch and we had prize draws and giveaways, including pens and balloons with Tony Lau Insurance Agencies’ logo. Our objectives are to promote our brokerage, including homeowner, travel and auto policies.
